We’ve got a golden opportunity to visit Wilton Enterprise’s food crafting dream works. Wilton Enterprises was founded in 1929.  Today, Wilton Enterprises leads the industry with its comprehensive and innovative selection of baking, cake decorating, candy making, cookie making, wedding, baby and party products.  All designed to make it easy for anyone to enjoy the thrill of serving something special with unique style.

During our visit we will learn their company’s history, see how cake molds are designed, watch their master cake decorators in action and conclude at the Wilton School where students learn the art of cake decorating.  A discount will be offered for those wanting to purchase product at the company store.  This visit will require driving to three different locations.  Expect more walking and standing than sitting.  Please wear comfortable shoes.

Some people will arrive from Chicago via public transportation.  Metra’s BNSF Line from Chicago Union Station to Belmont Avenue station at 5001 Main Street in Downers Grove, leaves Chicago at 8:50 am arriving Downers Grove at 9:39 am.

Lunch is optional at Smilga restaurant at 2819 83rd Street in Darien , IL .  A Lithuanian restaurant where bacon is traditional and not a trend.
