A Tour of Windy City Mushrooms

featuring their growing rooms and
tasting of their new fungi food products

Presented by John James
Co-Owner/Head of Sales/Mycologist

Windy City Mushroom was founded 3 years ago in 2020. With the start of the pandemic, healthy resources became scarce, and mushrooms were out of stock in nearly every grocery store and co-op. Chicago needed a sustainable option for local consumers, thus Windy City Mushroom was born. Located in the Ford City neighborhood of Chicago, we pride ourselves on growing the finest premium gourmet mushrooms Chicago has to offer at an affordable price.

Our mission is to get mushrooms on every dinner plate in the country. That means growing mushrooms sustainably and affordably. We do that not only by providing you with the freshest and most delicious mushrooms in Chicago, but with our Fungitarian line of fully cooked oyster mushrooms.

Fungitarian (noun): a person who has chosen mushrooms as a staple in their diet because of their nutritional benefits, sustainability, and flavor.

Fungitarian Meals are fully cooked, just heat it and eat it! Can be heated in standard microwave, sauté pan, or oven. Flavors offered: Asian, Barbeque, Italian, Tinga and Original.

Please wear closed toe shoes.
